Comments or Suggestions Student Awards The Las Vegas Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association actively supports development of talented individuals with air and waste management interests through an annual scholarship program. One-semester scholarships in the amount of $500 are awarded on a competitive basis. Undergraduate or graduate students at UNLV or undergraduates at the Community College of Southern Nevada majoring in environmental aspects of the sciences or engineering with a GPA of > 3.0 may apply for the scholarship by filling out an application form, and by writing a 500 word essay about their interests or experiences in the environmental field.
